Saman Gamage
Saman, born near Bundala National Park, has been immersed in wildlife since childhood. A seasoned ranger and tracker for Bundala, Yala, and Udawalawe, he has deep expertise in the terrain and species of these parks. He has worked on conservation raids, assisted researchers, and contributed to BBC documentaries, including Elephant Island. Also experienced in human-elephant conflict mediation, his renowned birding skills make him a sought-after guide.

Dhanushka Perera
Dhanushka, a former banker, became a naturalist to pursue his passion for wildlife. An expert in birds, mammals, and reptiles, he holds a chemistry degree from ICHEM and was a member of the Young Zoologists Association. He is also a wildlife photographer, video editor, and conservation activist. With extensive field experience, he is a sought-after guide for nature tours.

Gayomini Panagoda
Gayomini is a Sri Lankan birding enthusiast and PhD researcher specializing in waterbird migration. She leads field expeditions on Mannar Island for the Central Asian Flyway-Sri Lanka Waterbird Tracking Program. A dedicated conservationist, she conducts bird ringing and satellite-tagging. Her work earned her the Young Conservation Scientist Award.

Kasun Gonagala
Kasun, a passionate birder and naturalist, developed his love for wildlife in childhood. His expertise extends to butterflies, amphibians, and reptiles, with experience as a Research Officer at the Wildlife Conservation Society – Galle. He has led acclaimed birding and mammal-watching tours and contributed to key research projects, including leopard conservation with WNPS. His field knowledge makes him a valuable asset to any wildlife expedition.

Susantha Weerappuli
Susantha, known as Susa, is a seasoned naturalist with over 20 years of experience. An expert in birding, butterflies, big cats, primates, and whale watching, he has led countless wildlife tours. His deep knowledge ensures no detail goes unnoticed on his expeditions. A key member of Adventure Birding, he is dedicated to enriching the experience of wildlife enthusiasts.

Thilanka Ranathunga
Thilanka, a wildlife tourism expert with 15 years of experience, is a skilled photographer and field assistant for Nat Geo and BBC documentaries. He co-photographed Reflections of the Wild and hosted a solo exhibition. Specializing in birding, wildlife photography, and adventure tours, he is a dedicated eco-tourism advocate.

Nuwan Chathuranga
Nuwan Chathuranga Jayawardana is a dedicated field biologist specializing in Sri Lanka’s flora and Lepidoptera. A Wildlife Guard with the Department of Wildlife Conservation since 2015, he also contributes to citizen science platforms like i-Naturalist. His research includes publications on moths and Sri Lankan flora, aiding in species discovery and conservation.

Chamara Prasadh
Chamara Prasadh Abeywardhane, or Cham, is a seasoned National Tourist Guide Lecturer passionate about cultural and wildlife travel. Since 2016, he has led immersive tours for global brands, blending Sri Lanka’s biodiversity, history, and heritage. With a background in Economics and Finance, Cham champions responsible tourism and community care. A gifted storyteller and organizer, he ensures every journey is meaningful and unforgettable.

Sisira Kumara
Sisira, a licensed National Guide since 2007, brings a wealth of expertise in Sri Lanka’s history and culture. With a passion for natural history, he has led numerous wildlife tours, showcasing the island’s remarkable terrestrial and marine mammals. His extensive experience and deep knowledge make him an exceptional guide for exploring both the cultural and natural treasures of Sri Lanka

Indika Jayathissa
Indika is a young and energetic all round naturalist specializing in butterflies. He has participated in many research projects and is a member of the Butterfly Conservation Society in Sri Lanka and the Wildlife Conservation Society of Galle. Indika is a wildlife photographer and administer of the Sri Lankan butterflies page on the Facebook.

Upul Wickramasinghe
Upul is a skilled naturalist with expertise in birds, mammals, whales, and natural history. Trained in wildlife conservation and palaeo-biodiversity, he has led a range of field studies across Sri Lanka. His work spans elephants, loris, and endemic fish, reflecting a deep commitment to conservation. Also a talented wildlife photographer, Upul brings both insight and inspiration to every tour.

Pradeep Rathnasiri
Pradeep is a seasoned naturalist and former Park Ranger with years of experience in Sri Lanka’s top national parks. Known for spotting elusive wildlife, he’s led bird tours since 2010 and worked on a crocodile documentary with National Geographic. A member of the IUCN Crocodile Specialist Group, he’s currently pursuing a BSc in Natural Science.
